Coyt M. English 77, Clayton, Georgia


Coyt M. English, 77, of Persimmon Road, Clayton, Georgia died Wednesday, August 15, 2012 in Northeast Georgia Medical Center. He was born April 20, 1935 in Rabun County, Georgia, the son of the late Marvin and Della Nichols English.
He was a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and is survived by his wife, Imogene Hamilton English of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law Mike and Susie English and Gary English of Clayton; grandchildren Shandy Whitmire, Preston English, Nathan English and Gary English. Step grandchildern: Andy, Scotty and Selena, Aaron and Heather, Dustin, Levi, and Zeke. Several great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Friday, August 17, 2012 at the Persimmon Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Wright officiating. Burial will be in the Timpson Presbyterian Cemetery.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Thursday, August 16, 2012. The body will be placed in the church at 12:00 noon Friday, August 17, 2012 to lie in state. The family is at the home on Persimmon Road, Clayton.
