Columbus Heaton

Columbus Heaton, 78 , of Clayton, Ga. died Dec.24, 2015 in Gainesville , Florida.
Born in Oconee county, South Carolina, He was the son of the late Oscar and Sophie Lusk Heaton.

He was the widower of Sally Judge Heaton.

Mr. Heaton was a Construction worker and a U.S. Navy veteran and was of the Baptist faith.

Besides his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a twin brother and sister , Lester Heaton and Esther Heaton Maroney and brother Elgin Heaton and sisters, Hazel Strauss and Dolly Heaton and is survived by three sisters, Irene Speed of Clayton, Ga. , Gladys B. Heaton and Virgie Nell Sims both of Salem, South Carolina.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday Dec. 31, 2015 at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in the Warwoman community with Pastor Madison McCrackin and Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening Dec.30, 2015 from 5:30 to 6:30 P.M.

The family is at their respective residences.
