Claude Lovell, 85, of Clayton, Georgia., died Friday night July 24, 2014 in Northside Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia.
Born in Habersham County, June 29, 1929 he was the son of the late John and Belle Martin Lovell. He was the husband of Gertrude Gragg Lovell. He was a carpenter by trade and was associated with the Flat Creek Baptist Church.
Mr. Lovell was preceded in death, besides his parents, by a brother, Buck Lovell and by a sister, Ethel McMahan and is survived by his wife, Gertrude Gragg Lovell of the home; a daughter, Susan Spencer (Paul) of Dunwoody, GA., one brother, Earl Lovell of Clarkesville, GA., a sister, Hazel Palmer of Loganville, GA., two grandsons, Logan Spencer and Reid Spencer. Several nephews, nieces and cousins also survive.
Funeral Services will be at 3:00 P.M. Sunday July 27, 2014 at the Flat Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Rogers officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Rev. Albert Giovino conducting the graveside service.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Saturday July 26, 2014. The family is at the home on Gettysburg Lane, Clayton, Georgia. Family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made, in his memory, to the Flat Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 1433 Low Gap, Road Lakemont, Georgia. 30552
