Charles Phillip Smith, 51, of Lakemont, GA, died Thursday, August 19, 2010 in Turnerville, GA.
Born December 8, 1958 in Fulton County, Georgia he was the son of the late Walter L. and Rubye Elizabeth Larkin Smith. He was a carpenter by trade and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife Lora Anne Kentopp Smith of the home; two sons, Shawn Lee Smith of Clayton and Ryan Kane Smith of Lakemont; one daughter Melissa Josephine Taylor of Lakemont; Four brothers, Ed Smith of Clearwater, FL, Mike Smith of Palm Harbor, FL, Jim Smith of Turnerville, GA, and Chris Smith of Waycross, GA; one sister, Shelia Wright of Conyers, GA; he is also survived by Five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 PM Sunday August 22, 2010 at the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Madison McCrackin officiating. Burial will be in the Rocky Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in the Bridge Creek Community.
The body is at Hunter Funeral home where family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8 PM Saturday night August 21, 2010.
The family is at the home of his son, Shawn Lee Smith on John English Road, Clayton, GA.
