Charles Gibson

Charles R. “Charlie” Gipson, 70, of Cornsilk Lane, Tiger, Ga.died Friday, Sept.22,2017 in Northeast Ga Medical Center, Gainesville, Ga.

Charlie was born in Rabun County,January 16,1947,the son of the late Jesse Carlton Gipson and Sarah Shirley Gipson. He was a lifelong resident of Rabun County and was the widower of Linda Wilkerson Gipson. He was a carpenter in the construction industry and was a U. S.Army veteran and was a member of the Wiley Presbyterian Church.

He was preceded in death by by his wife, Linda Wilkerson Gipson and his parents, Jessee and Sarah Gipson and is survived by a son, Joshua Gipson of Tiger, Ga. And a daughter , Crystal Gipson of Tiger Ga.. Two brothers, Larry D. Gipson of Clayton and Danny R. Gipson of Lakemont, 3 grandchildren, Chase boudeaux, Cheyenne Jones,& Michael Jones also survive.

Memorial services will be held at Joy Baptist Church Sunday Oct. 8, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. conducted by Tony Goss. The family is at their respective residences.

Hunter funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
