Carylon Holt

Carylon Dodgins Holt , 67 , of Joe Davis Road, Tiger, Ga. died Friday January 8 , 2016 at her home.

She was born in Clayton, Ga. January 9, 1948 to the late Arthur and Ruth Henslee Dodgins. She was the widow of Charles L. (Dub) Holt.

She was a retired waitress and restaurant worker and a caregiver for the elderly. She was a member of the Newman’s Chapel Baptist Church, Otto, N.C.

Besides her parents and her husband , she was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother, and is survived by two daughters , Sandra Hunnicutt (Ricky) of Tiger,Ga. and Sherry Holt of Rabun Gap, Ga. , three brothers, Mike Dodgins of Clayton, Ga. , Don Dodgins of Rabun Gap, Ga. , Thomas Dodgins of Wiley , Ga. Four grandchildren , Brittney Chamblee , Wesley Hunnicutt, Taylor Hunnicutt and Bradley Gibson. Two great grandchildren , Raelyn Hunnicutt and Sophie Chamblee also survive., along with several nephews,nieces and cousins.

Funeral services will be Monday January 11,2016 at the Newman’s Chapel Baptist Church, Otto, N.C. at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Danny Cannon and Pastor Ricky Potts officiating . Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 1:00 P.M. Monday to lie in state.

The body is at Hunter funeral home where visitation will be Sunday January 10, 2016 from 6 to 8 P.M. The family is at the home of her daughter and son – in – law , Sandra and Ricky Hunnicutt on Joe Davis Rd., Tiger, Georgia.
