Carrie Henry Crane, age 106, of Clayton, Georgia. Died Thursday July 23, 2009 at her home on Stagecoach Rd. Born in Macon, County. North, Carolina. May 24, 1903. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Ida McCall Henry. She was a homemaker and was a Member of the Highlands First Baptist Church in Highlands, NC. For 83 years plus. She was the widow of Phillip Crane.
Mrs. Crane was preceded in death by two sons, Albert and Earl Crane and by three daughters, Ethel Ramey, Lena Dandy and Marie McCoy and by three brothers and one sister. She was the last member of her immediate family.
She is survived by three sons, Chuck Crane of Franklin, NC. Ernest Crane of Clayton and Richard Crane of High Point, NC. And by three daughters, Mary Arnold of Monslia, Ca. Catherine Crane of Clayton and Evelyn Picklesimer, of Highlands, NC. 33 Grandchildren and 49 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services will be at 3:00 P.M. Sunday July 26, 2009 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with the Rev. Alton Dendy, Layman Lloyd Hunter and Candie Moore officiating. Burial will be in the Highlands Cemetery in Highlands, NC. The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Saturday night July 25, 2009. The family is at home on Stagecoach Rd, Clayton.
