Carolyn Beatrice Hunter, 66, of Hillside Drive, Clayton, Georgia died Tuesday September 6, 2011 at her residence.
Born Febuary 23, 1945 in Hendersonville, North Carolina, she had spent most of her life in Rabun County, Georgia. She was the widow of Jesse Glenn Hunter, Jr. She had worked as a sales clerk for many years and was a homemaker and a member of the Clayton Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Lewis Smith and Carrie Edmonds Smith. Also by a daughter, Manetia Lynn Fair and by a brother, Robert Smith, and is survived by one son, Richard Hunter and his wife, Natlie,of Clarkesville, GA., Two daughters, Dawn Hunter and Lisa Hunter of Clayton, GA. Three brothers, Ronald Smith of Atlanta, GA., Alvin Smith of Tiger, GA., and William Smith of Atlanta, GA. Nine grandchildern and three great- grandchildern: several nephews, nieces and cousins also survive.
Funeral Services will be held Friday Septenber 9, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Nichols officating. Burial will follow in Rabun Memory Park Tiger, Georgia.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday,September 8, 2011.
The family is at the home on Hillside Drive, Clayton, Georgia.
