Carolyn Cannon

Carolyn Gunter Cannon, 87, went to be with her Lord, Saturday, June 13, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lamar J. Cannon.

She worked for Center of Disease Control (CDC) for many years and retired there. She was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She was born to the late Tarpley and Verna Conway Gunter. She met her husband at a dance at Ft. McPherson, GA., and was married three Months Later.

She is survived by her son, Eddie Lamar Cannon and her daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn and Rick Roseberry. Also by seven grandchildren, Austin Ergle, Charlene and Chase Cannon, Andrew Chris and Derrick Roseberry and Diana Allen., and by three great grandchildren, Silvia Ergle, Madison Roseberry and Brandi Mauer and by two great great grandchildren, twins, Alaina and Juliana Ergle.

Funeral Services will be at 3:00 P.M. Thursday June 18, 2015 at Clayton Baptist Church, Clayton, GA., with Rev. Joey Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Baptist Cemetery, Tiger, Georgia.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home and visitation will be Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 6 to 8 P.M. The family is at their respective residences.
