Carole H. Salzman

On January 8th, 2024, Mrs. Carole H. Salzman went home to be with the Lord. She was born on October 21, 1936, to Mr. and Mrs. DeVere (Mary) Scott in DuBois, PA.

She is survived by the following children: daughter-in-law Debra Salzman, Jerilyn (Andre) Cox, Eric (Lisa) Salzman, and Laura (David) Bartolomey. 19 much loved grandchildren and 25 beautiful great-grandchildren. She also had four brothers-in-law, Paul (Sharon) Salzman, Lyle Salzman, Dean (Janine) Salzman and Allan (Patricia) Salzman; sister-in-law, Eileen Salzman and many nieces and nephews.

Carole was preceded in death by the love of her life, Reverend Gerald (Jerry) L. Salzman on April 2, 2017. Her oldest son Kenneth L. Salzman on December 16, 2021. Her parents and sister, Marsha (Scott) Minns, brothers-in-law, Berry Minns and David Salzman and dear sister-in-law, Marcia Robb Salzman.

She graduated from DuBois High School in 1954. She attended Buffalo Bible Institute and received her certificate of graduation in 1959. It was there she met the love of her life, Jerry. They married on June 19, 1959.

Jerry and Carole worked together for almost all of their marriage. Jerry pastored churches in Rhode Island, New York, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. After they moved to Georgia, Jerry and Carole worked at the Rabun Gap Nacoochee School as Assistant Dean to Students (Jerry) and Secretary to Admissions (Carole) with both serving as relief house parents. Jerry and Carole took positions with senior citizens care at Clairmont Crest Apartments. Jerry as property manager, retired in 2002 and Carole did secretarial work until her retirement in 2001.
