Carol H Gockley, 63 of Otto, North Carolina. Died Monday August 10, 2009 at her home. Born November 1, 1945 in Paulding County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Irea Miller Harris. She was a homemaker and attended the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Dillard, Ga.
She was preceded in death by a Granddaughter, Rebecca Ward, and is survived by Daughters and spouses. , Connie and Peter Vandervelde of Southampton, England, Jennifer and Jim Ward of Otto, NC, Andrea Gockley and Tyler Goodroe of Gainesville, Ga., a brother and his wife, Larry and Sharon Harris of Scott, OH, a sister and her husband Marilyn and Murry Evans of Mobile, AL. Four Grandchildren, Megan and Jonathon Ward and Benjamin and Victoria Vandervelde.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday August 14, 2009 at the MT. Calvary Baptist Church, Dillard, Ga. with Rev. Tommy Darracott and Rev. Avery Lawrence Officiating. Burial will be in the Rush Cemetery in Otto, NC. The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday August 13, 2009. The body will be placed in the Church at 1:00 P.M. Friday to lie in State the family is at home in Otto, NC. The Family asks that in Lieu of Flowers Memorial Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2565 Thompson Bridge Rd. Suite 114, Gainesville, Ga. 30501.
