Calvin W. Jenkins, 63, of Lakemont, GA, died Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.
Born November 17, 1948 in Rabun Conty he was as a son of the late Elcaney and Viola Burrell Jenkins. He was U.S. Army veteran having served in Vietnam and was of the Church of God Faith.
Survivors include his wife Marilyn Kell Jenkins of the home, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jason and Dusti Jenkins and Thomas Jenkins all of Lakemont, GA; two brothers, Gordon Jenkins and Bobby Jenkins both of Dillard, GA , one sister, Elizabeth Bingham of Mountain City, GA., three grandchildren, Savannah, Jacob and Liliana Jenkins all of Lakemont. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Monday, April 30, 2012 at the Newman Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Kilby and Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM Sunday, April 29, 2012.
The family is at the home of his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Doug and Carolyn Keener on Kell Lane in Lakemont.
Hunter Funeral Home of Clayton GA. is in charge of arrangements.
