Burma Lou Dickerson Patterson, 93, of Shady Side Drive, Clayton, GA., died Sunday November 27, 2011 in Mountain View Health Care in Clayton. She was the widow of John Lee Patterson.
Born in Rabun County March 11, 1918 she was the daughter of the late Dock and Effie Welborn Dickerson. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church. She was the last member of her immediate family.
She was preceded in death by two daughters; Betty Sue Patterson and Judy Patterson Payne and by four brothers; Dellon, Dover, Wiley and Denver Dickerson and by a sister, Durel Justus. She is survived by three sons, Robert and (Suevon) Patterson of Rocky Face, Georgia., Delmo and (Carolyn) Patterson of Tiger, Georgia. and Doyle and (Judy) Patterson of Clayton, Georgia. Two Daughters, Jane and (Larkin) Oliver of Auburn, GA., and Joyce Reeves of Tallulah Falls, GA., Ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and thirteen great great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday November 30, 2011 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. DR. Joe Nichols and Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating. Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday November 29, 2011.
The family is at their respective residences.
