Buck Beaty, 63, of Antioch Church Road, Clayton, Georgia., died Monday December, 26, 2011 at his home.
Born in Rabun County, November 25, 1948, he was the son of Mary Carter Beaty of Clayton and the late George Beaty. He was a member of Battle Branch Baptist Church and was a logger in the timber industry, and he was an avid fisherman.
Buck is survived by his wife, Freda Wooten Beaty of the home; his mother, Mary Carter Beaty of Clayton, GA. One son, Jack Beaty of Clayton, GA. One granddaughter, Julie Beaty of Clayton, GA. One brother, Wayne and his wife Debbie of Clayton, GA. Three sisters and their spouses, Nancy and Michael Holcomb and Barbara and Robert Ledford both of Clayton, GA., and Sandy and Allen Vinson of Otto, NC. Several nephews, nieces and cousins also survive.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday December 28, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Antioch United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry Cannon officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6 To 8 P.M. Tuesday night December 27, 2011.
The family is at the residence of his sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Michael Holcomb on Warwoman Road, Clayton, GA.
