Brenda Sue Stancil

Brenda Sue English Stancil 68, of Clayton, Ga. journeyed to her heavenly home on Monday morning May 2 , 2016. Born on June 16, 1947 she was the daughter of Ralis and Ola Crane English.

She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, William Doyle Stancil, and two sisters, Barbara English Young and Roberta English Wilson.

She is survived by one son, Trampes Stancil, one grandson Trevon Stancil, a sister Lynn English Ledford, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was a member of Battle Branch Baptist Church and had worked for many years in the textile industry. Brenda was an avid gospel singer and had served as Bible School and Sunday School teacher in years past.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday May 4, at 5 pm at the Battle Branch Baptist Church with Pastor Madison McCrackin and Reverend Dennis Ledford officiating. Burial will follow at the Persimmon Cemetery. Visitors may call from 4:00 to 4:30 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.
