Brenda Faye Carpenter

Brenda Faye Carpenter age, 65, of Mountain City, GA passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2023. Brenda was born on February 4, 1958, daughter of the late James Fred Carpenter and Dorothy Pearl Talley Carpenter.

Brenda was born and raised in Rabun County, and she was an active member of Blue Heights Baptist Church. She was very family oriented and loved spending time with her family. She loved to read and loved the Lord. Brenda worked at Woodridge Hospital and Mountain Lakes Hospital and most recently she worked in customer service for Kim Farner Insurance.

Surviving are her six siblings: Joanne Mitzlaff (Dan) of Sebring, FL, Jane James (Randy) of Clayton, GA, Maybelle Bryson (Hayes) of Cashiers, NC, Lester Carpenter (Missy) of Scaly Mountain, NC, Jerry Carpenter of Scaly Mountain, NC and Bobbie Sue “Susie” Carpenter from Scaly Mountain, NC; a host special of nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, David, Tommy, and Jimmy Carpenter.

Visitation hours are 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday, June 22, 2023, at the Eastside Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, June 23, 2023 2:00 PM at Blue Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Rondal Owen officiating. Interment will follow in the Watkins Family Cemetery in Scaly Mountain, NC.
