Billy Joe Swafford, 66 of Clayton, Georgia died Thursday night November, 30, 2017 in Mountain View Health Care. Born March 6, 1951 in Walhalla. He was the son of Bert and Janie Mcdonald Swafford. He was an installer for the pipeline industry. He was a member of the Long Creek Baptist church. Where he had spent the greater part of his life.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Janie McDonald Swafford, by his wife, Martha Swafford and by twin sons, William and Anthony Swafford and is survived by one son, Joe Swafford of Clayton one daughter, Rachel Swafford and her companion, Mike Turpin of Tiger. By his first wife, Patricia Collins of Rabun Gap, Georgia. Who is the mother of his children. He is survived by four grandchildren, Will Gills, Skyler Whitmire, Victoria Wheeler and Kevin Swafford and two great grandchildren, Jaquarius Swafford and Kolby Gills.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 4th, 2017, at the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Burrell Officiating burial will be in the Long Creek Baptist Church cemetery in Long Creek, SC.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home with visitation to be Monday December 4th, 2017. From noon to 2 pm. The family is at the home of Patricia Collins on Loopway, Rabun Gap, Georgia.
