Betty Ruth Welborn, 71, of M.J. Shirley Drive, Clayton, Georgia died Sunday April 24, 2011 at her residence.
Born June 4, 1939 in Rabun County, She was the daughter of the late Logue and Alberta Allgary Welborn. She was a retired seamstress at Claburne MFG. Company and was of the Baptist Faith.
She was preceded in death by a son, Toby Welborn; by a sister, Mary Ida Coalley and by a brother, Bud Welborn; and is survived by a special companion, Sam Pritchett. Two sons and daughters –in-law, Roy and Nancy Welborn of Clayton, GA., and Robin and Donna Welborn of Rabun Gap, GA. One brother, Earl Welborn of Clayton and by a sister, Bessie Mae Poole of Cornelia, GA. Seven grand children and ten great grandchildren also survive, along with several nephews, nieces and cousins.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday April 26, 2011 at the Wolffork Christian Fellowship Center, Rabun Gap, Georgia conducted by Rev. Ted Rawlins with Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating at the graveside service. Burial at Pickett Cemetery.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends Monday evening April 25, 2011 from 6 To 8 P.M. The family is at their respective residences.
