Betty Lee Robbins Durrance, age 90, of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, passed away at home on April 7, 2019. Born on November 18, 1928, in Tampa, Florida, she was the daughter
of John Dee Robbins and Mildred Moore.
Betty was well known for her natural beauty, gracious-ness, and elegance. She was a lifelong learner who enjoyed reading a variety of books including the Bible, cooking, how-to, and reference books. A practical problem solver, she continually impressed those around her with her thoughtful analysis, common sense, and intelligence.
Betty was a composed, kind-hearted and charming southern lady who always put others at ease while displaying remarkable insight and understanding of others.
From a young age she was interested in health and remained active all her life: from aerobics with her young grandchildren; hunting, traveling and gardening with her husband Wilbur; power walking with her neighbors in the North Georgia hills; to riding a 3-wheel bike into her late-80’s with a friend at the beach.
She is predeceased by her son, Michael Norton, and husbands
E.S. Norton and Wilbur Durrance. She is survived by her sister,
Barbara Robbins Gray, daughters, Sharon Slaton, Pam Norton, and Randi Bradley; 7 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
