Betty D. Brackenbury 78, Rabun Gap
Betty D. Richardson Brackenbury, 78, of Rabun Gap, GA, died Sunday March 11, 2012 at the Mountain View Health Center in Clayton.
Born May 3, 1933 in Nashville, Tennessee she was a daughter of the late William and Grace Lee Richardson. She was a Pharmacy Apprentice and a member of the Newmans Chapel Baptist Church in Otto, NC.
Twice married Mrs. Brackenbury was preceded in death by her husbands James Glenn Bruner and Clarence Brackenbury; one son, David Bruner; one daughter, Libby Bruner; two brothers, Edward Green and Bill Richardson and one sister Helen Hardin.
Survivors include a daughter, Glenda Bruner Benfield of Rabun Gap, GA; one brother, Kenneth Richardson of Nashville, Tenn.; one sister, Jean Richardson Bruner of Livonia, Mich.; one grandson William Scott Wehr and wife Megan and one great grandson David Wyatt Wehr. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be 1 PM Tuesday March 13, 2012 at the Newmans Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Cannon and William Wehr officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday March 13, 2012 from 11:00 AM until the service at 1 PM.
The family is at the home of her daughter Glenda Benfield on Little River Lane in Rabun Gap.
