Bessie Watts Bell 82, Tiger, GA
Bessie Watts Bell, 82, of Bell View Drive in the Bridge Creek Community, Tiger, Georgia died Friday evening, October 26, 2012 at the Mountain View Health Care in Clayton. She was the widow of Donald E. Bell who died in 1998.
Born in Rabun County March 3, 1930, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Beulah Bramblett Watts. She was a public school teacher in Cobb and Dekalb Counties, having taught first graders from the 1950’s until retirement. She was a member of the Rocky Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by two brothers John Floyd Watts and Ralph Watts and by a sister, Ruth Watts Howard and is survived by two sons, Jim Bell of Covington, GA and Jerry Bell of Decatur, GA. One brother, Max Watts of Tiger and one sister, May Watts Smith of Tiger also survive.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at the Rocky Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Kyle Watts and Rev. John Gipson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body is at Hunter Funeral Home and will be taken to the home place of her late sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Charnel Howard on Charlie Mountain Road, Monday morning October 29, 2012, where friends may visit till 12:30 PM Tuesday. The body will be placed in the church at 1:00 PM to lie in state.
