Born in Cashiers, NC. February 26, 1942 he was the son of the late James S. and Belva Hardin Carter. He had spent the greater part of his life in Rabun County. He was a Carpenter in the Construction Industry and was a Baptist by Faith
. He is survived by his Wife Louise Jones Carter of the home and by three sons. Larry Carter of Cornelia, GA. Gary Carter of Wiley, GA. And Terry Carter of Homer, GA. By one daughter Inez Creed of Lakemont, GA. Two brothers, Bobby Carter of Gainesville, GA. Billy Carter of Tiger, GA. And by one sister, Mary Beaty of Clayton, GA. Four grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday Morning May 21, 2009 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with REV. Larry Cannon and REV. Marvin Reed Officiating. And REV. Danny Cannon conducting the Graveside Service.
The Body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 7 to 9 PM this Evening, May 20, 2009. The family is at the home on Lagoon Lane, Wiley, GA.
