Ashley Danielle Fricks Blalock

Ashley Danielle Fricks Blalock, born on June 8, 1988, in Franklin, NC, passed away on July 23, 2023. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend to many. Ashley's vibrant personality and caring nature touched the lives of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Ashley graduated from Rabun County Highschool in 2006 and was a member of her childhood church, Wolf Creek Baptist Church. She loved her tri-painted quarter horse named Derby and cherished spending time riding and caring for him. Additionally, her beloved dog Pricilla was always by her side.

Ashley possessed a compassionate heart. She was a fun-loving soul with a contagious laugh that could brighten even the darkest of days. Ashley had a genuine love for people and a remarkable ability to connect with others regardless of their social status or background.

She is survived by her devoted husband Jamie Blalock; children Jaydynn Cohee, Jasher Blalock, and Jaley Blalock; as well as step-children Brett Blalock and Kolby Blalock; mother, Patricia Carpenter (Troy LeBlanc) and her father David Fricks (Daphne); her brother Joshua Fricks (Amber), her nieces and nephews, Jaxson and Braxlee Fricks; and several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Ashley is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, George and Elaine Carpenter, and her paternal grandparents, Lee and Lorene Thacker.

A visitation will be held in Ashley's honor on July 30, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Eastside Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home located at 451 Warwoman Road in Clayton, GA. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life ceremony will take place at 2:00 PM with Rev. Wayne Price and Pastor Tully Griggs officiating. All who knew Ashley are invited to join in remembering and celebrating her life. Burial will follow the service at Wolf Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
