Arvil Ray Gragg, 67, Clayton, Georgia


Arvil Ray Gragg, 67, of Tallulah Falls, went to be with his Lord and Saviour June 17 2011: at his residence surrounded by his family and many friends. He was born June 12, 1944 and was preceded in death by his parents, Fines Gragg and Minnie Brock Gragg of the Flat Creek Community. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Terrell Gragg of the Flat Creek Community and sisters Betty Ruth Holland of Dalton, Ga., and Marie Gragg of the Flat Creek Community .
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 45 years, Linda Gragg, a daughter Pamela Jordan and her husband Bub of Tallulah Falls, a son, Edward Gragg and his wife Jennifer of the Flat Creek Community, a daughter, Gina Ramey, a son-in-law, David Ramey, and a daughter Sherry Gragg, all of Tallulah Falls, and a daughter Amanda Picklesimer and her husband Archie of Lakemount, GA.He leaves twelve precious grandchildren, Alexandra”Allie” Gragg, Austin Gragg, Baylee Ramey, Heather Burrell, Makenzie Ramey, Cody Jordan, Krista Jordan, William Picklesimer, Blake Ramey, Brooklyn Jordan, Branson Gragg, and Jalynn Gragg.
Also surviving are six brothers, Johnny Gragg, Fines Gragg Jr., and Dale Gragg, of the Flat Creek Community, Richard Gragg of Chatsworth, GA., Clifford Gragg, of Tiger, GA., and Jimmy Gragg, of Adairsville, GA. Four sisters, Janie Lida of Woodruff, S.C., Imogene “Tommie” Edge of Covington, Ga., Geneva Gragg of the Flat Creek Community, and Tina Lovell of Wiley, GA. Many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews, also survive.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 19, 2011 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Hunter Funeral Home. The body will be cremated and a memorial service will be held Monday June 20, 2011 at 3:00 pm at the Lakemont Baptist Church with the Rev. Jewell Gaines officiating.
Family asks that in leiu of flowers memorial donations may be made, in his memory, to the Lakemont Baptist Church.
