Arlean Hopper

Arlean Parker Hopper, 88, of Clayton, Georgia., died Friday December 27, 2013 at the home of her grandson, Roger Carnes in Gray, Georgia. She was the widow of Keith L. Hopper.

Born in Rabun County, she was the daughter of the late Vesta A. (Bob) Parker and Eula Coleman Parker. She was a member of the Clayton Baptist Church. She was a member of the Clayton Baptist Church WMU., and had been active in the Wolffork Baptist Church WMU., and was a leader in the youth group at Wolffork before coming to the Clayton Baptist Church. She was the founder of the Big A. Club and was a Rabun County Magistrate, and was retired from teaching school after 35 years of service.

Mrs. Hopper was preceded in death by two sisters; Vilena Parker Neal and Pauline Parker Duncan and is survived by three sons, Aaron L. Hopper, of Clayton, GA., Edward V. Hopper of Tallulah Falls, GA, and Richard K. Hopper of Clayton, GA. By two daughters; Brenda Hopper Lycett (Rev. Dr. Edward) of Douglas, GA., and LuAnn Hopper Cunningham of Clayton, GA. Eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Sunday December 29, 2013 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Joe McCrackin and Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating. Rev. Sam Letson will conduct graveside service. Burial will be in Rabun Memory Park, Tiger, Georgia.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Saturday December 28, 2013. The family is at their respective residences. The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made, in her memory, to the Clayton Baptist Church WMU, 120 S. Church, Street Clayton, Georgia. 30525.
