Anthony Ray Wheeler 57, Clayton


Anthony Ray Wheeler, 57, of Clayton, died Saturday March 17, 2012 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia.
Born February 27, 1956 in Atlanta, Georgia he was a son of the late Bobby and Charlotte L. Harmon Wheeler. Mr. Wheeler was a writer for the Clayton Tribune, Rabun Laurel and more recently the Macon County News. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Catherine D. “Cat” Wheeler of Clayton; one son, Robert Filosi of East Hartland CT; one daughter Christine Filosi Lovell of Mountain City; two sisters, Becki Bruce of Douglasville, GA and Sherry Neal of Peru; six grandchildren, Melissa Filosi, Kamryn Filosi, Corey Lovell, Nicole Lovell, Luke Lovell and Logan Lovell. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5 PM until 8 PM Tuesday, March 20, 2012.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
The family is at the home of his daughter Christine Lovell at Marsen Knob in Mountain City.
Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
