Anna Alexander

Anna Lou Free Alexander, 75, of Old Ridge Rd, Demorest, GA, died Thursday afternoon January 24, 2019 at her home.

Born in Habersham County, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Manonie Gragg Free and was the widow of Emanuel Craig Alexander. She was a homemaker and a member of the Stonepile Baptist Church. 

Mrs. Alexander was preceded in death by her husband, Emanuel Craig Alexander, a daughter, Robin Porterfield, her parents, Lester and Manonie Free and four brothers and two sisters. She is survived by one son, Ricky Alexander (Susan) of Rabun Gap, GA, five daughters, Roxie Justus of Demorest, GA, Ronda Chadderdon of Demorest, GA, Regina Bray (Louis) of Maysville, KY, Renae Kitchens (Tim) of Homer, GA and Rosie Nation of Demorest, GA, three brothers, C.T. Free of Florida, Nelson Free and Homer Free of Clarkesville, GA, three sisters, Jessie Tench, Bessie Groves and Essie Goss of Clarkesville, GA. Sixteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren also survive. 

Funeral services will be at graveside at Stonepile Baptist Cemetery, Clarkesville, GA., Monday January 28, 2019 at 3:00pm, conducted by Rev. John Reeser. Visitation will be at Stonepile Baptist Church Monday January 28, 2019 from 12:00noon to 3:00pm, the graveside service will follow. The family is at their respective residences.
