Ann Gardner Nichols, 65, of Clayton, Georgia died Monday March 16, 2009 in Mtn. View Health Care, Clayton , Georgia.
Born in Dekalb County June 7, 1943 to the late William Gardner and Margaret Asher Gardner, She was a member of the American Legion Aux. and the D.A.V. Aux. and worked with the Lions Club for many years and was a member of the Mtn. Grove Baptist Church. She attended and graduated from the John B. Gordon High School in Atlanta, Georgia and attended Georgia Southern University. She worked at the Northern Cable Company for a number of years and was a shift manager at CVS.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. Dr. Joe Nichols of Clayton, Georgia, one son and daughter-in-law, William Virgil Nichols and his wife Lynn of Cornelia , Ga. and one sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth Palmer and her husband Gary of Dekalb County , Several Cousins also survive .
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday March 18, 2009, eleven O’clock A.M at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with the Rev. James Turpin officiating. Burial will be at the Persimmon Cemetery.
The body is at the Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. on Tuesday March 17, 2009.
