Alice Chastain Marsengill, 77 of Mountain city, GA. Died Saturday May 30, 2009 in Stephens County Hospital in Toccoa, GA.
She was Born October. 9,1931 in Macon County, NC. To the late Arthur and Hattie Miller Chastain. She was the Widow of David Andrew Marsengill. She was a homemaker and a member of the Christian Fellowship Church, Rabun Gap, GA.
She was preceded in death in addition to her Husband and parents, by one Brother and four Sisters, and is survived by four Sons and two Daughters in law, Troy and Margaret Marsengill of Toccoa, GA., Randy and Kim Marsengill, James Marsengill and Norman Marsengill all of Mountain. City, GA. Two Daughters, Faye and her husband, Gary Quilliams, Rabun Gap, GA. Joyce Sutton and her companion, Joe Brooks of Clarkesville, GA. Two brothers, Buck Chastain of Belton, SC and Tom Chastain of Otto, NC. Two sisters, Eloise Rogers, OF Clayton, GA and Cora Nelson of Canton, NC. Sixteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday June 2,2009 at the Christian Fellowship Church Rabun Gap, GA. With Rev. Scott Slaton and Rev. Wren Worley Officiating. Burial will be in the Pickett Cemetery Clayton, GA.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Monday Night June 1, 2009. The family is at the home of her daughter Joyce Sutton on Gibson Rd, Clarkesville, GA.
