Alfred Tillman Waters, 90, Clayton, Georgia


Alfred Tillman Waters, 90, of Clayton., died Thursday March 8, 2012 at his residence.
Born in Rabun County August 24, 1921 he was a son of the late Malachi and Ollie Nichols Waters. He was a landscaper by trade and was a member of the Black Rock Baptist Church. Mr. Waters enjoyed working and spending time outdoors.
He was preceded in death by a brother Chester Waters and a sister Alice Elliott and was the last member of his immediate family.
Survivors include a sons and daughters- in- law Harrison and Kathy Waters of Clayton, James and Joyce Waters of Tiger, daughters and sons- in -law, Carolyn and Monroe Queen, Clayton, Diane and Gary Taylor of Mt. City, Dorothy and Boyd Carnes of Tiger and Sharon and Chris York of Demorest. Twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be 2 PM Sunday, March 11, 2012 at the Hunter Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chris York officiating. Burial will follow in the Pickett Cemetery.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM on Saturday March 10, 2012.
The family is at the home of his daughter and son in law Carolyn and Monroe Queen on North Valley Street in Clayton.
Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
