Alan Wayne Thompson 38, Clayton, Ga.


Alan Wayne Thompson, 38, Blalock Goldmine Road, Clayton, died Sunday, April 4, 2010 at his residence.
Born in Rabun County January 30, 1972 he was a son of the late Joe and Carrie Beck Thompson. He was a carpenter and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Tim Thompson of Clayton, a step-son Ben Wood of Clayton, a daughter, Emily Thompson of Clayton, two brothers and a sister-in-law Anthony ( Peanut)and Lorie Thompson and Victor Thompson all of Clayton, one sister and a brother-in-law Gail and Edwin Ramey of Wiley, GA. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
The body has been cremated and a memorial service is planned for 3 PM, Friday, April 9, 2010 at the Hunter Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Raymond Page and Rev. Gary Ashe officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 PM until 3 Pm on Friday, April 9, 2010 prior to the service.
The family is at the home of brother and sister-in-law Anthony (Peanut) and Lorie Thompson on Popcorn Road, Clayton, GA.
