Mrs. Ramsey was a dedicated teacher in Habersham County for 30 years and during that time she changed and influenced many children’s lives. She was an active member of Clarkesville United Methodist Church, where she served on the board of trustees, taught Sunday school, was a member of the Kite Stribling UMW, and traveled around the United States working with the CFUMC Mission Team. She was an active member of the Clarkesville Lions Club: in 2007 she was inducted into the Lions Club Hall of Fame as a Lion with Distinction, and she received a Melvin Jones Fellow, which is the highest award in the Lions Club.
