Aderene Carolyn Justus Smith, 71, Rabun Gap, Ga.


Aderene Carolyn Justus Smith, 71, of O.V. Justus Road, Rabun Gap, wife of Clyde W. ”Moody” Smith died Thursday, January 21, 2010 at her residence.
Born October 25. 1938 in Rabun County Georgia she was a daughter of the late Odelee V. and Maude Ledford Justus. She was a textile worker for many years and was a member of the Betty’s Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors, in addition to her husband include two daughters, Charlene Smith Bennett and her husband, Bruce of Lilburn, GA and Cheryl Smith Redden and her husband, Clarence of Rabun Gap, GA; one brother, George Justus of Rabun Gap, GA; two sisters, Lexie Justus Scruggs and husband, Bill and Judy Justus Smith and husband, David all of Clayton, GA. Three grandchildren, Michael Bruce Bennett, William Edward Bennett, and Katlin Lauren Redden, several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be Sunday January 24, 2010 at Betty’s Creek Baptist Church at 2:00 P.M. conducted by Greg Smith and Jason Smith. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 9 P.M. Saturday night January 23, 2010. The body will be placed in the church at 1:00 P.M. Sunday January 24, 2010 to lie in state. The family is at the home on O.V. Justus Rd, Rabun Gap, Georgia.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to Compassionate Hospice, 1435 Haw Creek Circle, Suite 402, Cumming, Georgia. 30041 in her loving memory.
