Jack Charles Keller 82, Lakemont, GA


Jack Charles Keller, 82, of Lakemont, husband of Nancy Fort Keller, died Monday, April 16, 2012 at his residence.
Mr. Keller was born July 19, 1929 in Hoxie, Kansas to the late Charles W. and Ivy Lovin Keller. He was a United States Army veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. After his military service he lived briefly in Marcing, Idaho and later moving to Florida where he spent most of his life working as a carpenter. Mr. Keller was a member and a ordained deacon of Ocklawha Bridge Baptist Church. Upon his retirement he took over the management of Dr. Steve Gilman’s Morgan Horse farm and in 1998, he and Nancy retired to the North Georgia Mountains where he lived 12 ½ happy years until his death.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Fort Keller of the home; one daughter, Patricia Hall of Lakemont, GA; one son and a daughter-in-law Charles and Janeen Keller of Suwanee, GA; two grandsons; Wayne Crews and wife Laura of Oakdale, CT and Brandon Jack Keller of Suwanee, GA; one sister, Helen M. Keller of Penny Farms, FL; two great grandchildren, Taylor and Cody Crews of Oakdale CT.
Memorial services will be at 11 AM, Friday, April 20, 2012 at the Clayton Baptist Church with Rev. Joey Thompson officiating.
The body has been cremated and the family will receive friends at Clayton Baptist Church from 10 AM until service time on Friday, April 20, 2012.
The family is at their respective homes.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Mr. Kellers memory to the Gideons International, P.O Box 241, Clayton, GA 30525. Hunter Funeral Home of Clayton GA. is in charge of arrangements.
