The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of David Callenback can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: David was one of our first friends in Rabun County. He helped Davis with many of our building projects in the early years, and enjoyed coming by in the evenings and playing the guitar and singing with us. I enjoyed seeing him in town through the years when he worked at Cannon's. He was a kind man, with a great sense of humor. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this sad time of loss.

Condolence: My condolences to the Ccllenback family and friends. It is a painful thing to lose a precious love one in death. Even Jesus wept when Lazarus died (John 11:35) and it pains Our Heavenly Father. He did not purpose his human family to get sick and die but purposed us to live and enjoy life in perfect health. It is still his purpose (Psalm 37:11, 29). He calls death an enemy that will be removed forever__1 Corinthians 15:26 “the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing”; Sickness will be a thing of the past_ Isaiah 33:24 ”and no resident will say, “I am sick”; and He promise to awaken our love ones in the memorial tombs from asleep in death__ Hosea 13:14 “From the power of the Grave I will redeem them; From death I will recover them.” Allow these words to keep comforting all of you.

Condolence: David was a good man always quite and reserved. He was very friendly and courteous to all, very humble. He will be missed as I was always running into David in town. He always spoke and had a kind word. I pray that his family will seek God for comfort and strength during this time.

Condolence: David was in my class many years ago! He was a sweet boy who cared about his family and was always smiling. I am sorry to learn of his passing but I can remember his smile and be thankful he is no longer sick and unable to be with friends and family. My thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones.
